The Cheapest - Tray Based Tooth Whitening
A system using custom made thin mouth guards into which the whitening gel is placed and then worn for about ¾ of an hour. The process is repeated over 10-14 sessions or until the required shade is reached. The price may reduce at times if the manufacturer has an offer on the gel price, which we pass on to you. This option produces a good result but as the gels are diluted to varying degrees by saliva. Occaisionally a longer period of treatment is necessary.
The Quickest - Britesmile
Britesmile takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete - Ideal for the busy person or patients who does not want to use gels over a two week period. The procedure may be difficult if you suffer from claustrophobia and will need repeating after 2-3 years or you will need top up splints. During the procedure you may watch a DVD with our DVD goggles. Ask for a leaflet if you require further details.
The Best - Enlighten
Enlighten is the latest in tooth whitening technology from the States. It allows us to achieve consistent whitening of teeth often off the top of our shade guides! Long term results are more stable than other systems and is works well on difficult cases such as tetracycline stained teeth. Special splints are worn for two weeks followed by a professional session in the surgery. The combination of the two gives unsurpassed results.
Extra gels and desensitiser may be required depending on the treatment needed. This will be discussed with you in detail during the assessment.
Permanent Tooth Whitening - Lumineers
These are contact lens thin ceramic veneers placed over the natural teeth that can be used to permanently whiten and straighten teeth at the same time, usually without drilling or injections. Ask for a leaflet if you require further details.
