In early 2005,after almost 30 years without seeing a dentist (since my late teens), I decided that I really had to sort my teeth out.
The reason that I had not seen a dentist for so long were due to long term health problems, and a lack of confidence in being able to find a dentist that I totally trust. At the time,I was aware that I had fairly severe gum and oral health problems,and that the overall condition of my teeth was deteriorating rapidly. Many of my teeth had had large fillings in the past,and several of these had already fallen out(in some case several years previously),leaving (literally)just root and a small portion of the original tooth remaining.
I spent several weeks searching websites of dentists in the Greater Manchester area,and was immediately impressed with Parsons and Finnegan,both in terms of experience and qualifications of all the staff,but particularly in terms of the availability of 'new techniques' such as implants and Cerec 3D inlays and crowns. I was extremely nervous about starting what be a fairly lengthy periods of major dental treatment.
On my first visit to the practice, I was treated by Philip Parsons,in whom I immediately had full confidence, and I was extremely surprised and relieved to find that all my teeth were actually 'saveable'- I was fully expecting to have to undergo several extractions and root-canal treatments. Also,during this visit,all of the dental work that I required was fully listed and explained to me,together with precise costs. Subsequently,during my next two visits I was seen by an extremely nice hygienist (Ann),who preformed a full ' detox' treatment of my teeth and gums,which involved a total clean,followed by a course of antibiotics,
In the weeks that followed,Dr Philip Parsons then restored my teeth,mainly using the Cerec 3D system,both for crowns and inlays.
As a scientist,I found the process of manufacture to be fascinating (Philip showed me the Cerec machine at the practice actually making one of my crowns),and the whole manufacturing progress only takes about 30 minutes from having the photographic scans taken of the prepared tooth.
Overall,I have no hesitation whatsoever in giving Parsons and Finnegan the strongest possible recommendation. With hindsight,I now wonder why I waited so long! I can also confirm that all the information given,and the claims made in the website for the services offered are absolutely true.I must also give credit to Dr Parsons for his ability to put you at ease prior to starting treatment.

This is my 2nd treatment at Parsons & Finnegan and once again I was very pleased. I am always keen to know what is happening and that it is explained to me.
I don't know anyone who enjoys having dental treatment,but the staff at Parsons & Finnegan make it as much as a pleasant experience as possible.

I have had a problem with bleeding gums for many years in spite of regular dental care which included three monthly dental hygienist sessions. I have been warned that my gum problem would eventually cause loss of teeth
I was referred to Carole Collins who advised me to have a more radical hygienist treatment of 'Detox' which would need to be preformed under local anaesthesia and with full antibiotic cover lasting one week.
This was done in two sessions, on the same day,one half in the morning and the other half in the afternoon.
The results have been excellent. I no longer have any of my old problems with bleeding gums even after pretty vigorous brushing. My mouth feels different- altogether cleaner and fresher and I feel that having such a radical clearing of soft and no doubt unhealthy pockets along my gum margins must be beneficial to my general health.
I wish this treatment had been available years ago.

In the 4 years I have been coming to this surgery I have, without fail, received excellent dental treatment - which has been extensive. All the staff have been pleasant and efficient and have totally dispelled my long term fear of dentistry!
